This is a great example of what you want your home to look like during the home selling process. Homes that look closer to a “model home” tend to sell quicker than those that look in distress and dirty.

PREPARING TO MARKET YOUR HOME:

STAGING

It is important to stage your home to look as close to a “model home” as possible. Although you are use to the general overview and look of the property others are not and we want to make sure it looks as clean and open as possible. Often times we are too use to our surroundings, especially when they are our own personal things. It is good to get an outside opinion of what would look best. I would be more than happy to spend time with you going over each room to make sure it would be appealing to buyers. Letting in the most amount of light possible shows an open feeling giving the room a larger feel. De-cluttering tables and walls as well as depersonalizing decorations is best so buyers feel welcome and not intrusive.

CLEANING

The day before we put your property on the market, it is best to have a professional cleaning company come in and clean the property. Clean windows, flooring, countertops, ceilings, light fixtures, etc. are very important when marketing your home. If you have a yard or patio, it is best to have everything washed down and removed of loose dirt and spider webs.

NEW PLANTS

Planting flowers in the yard or placing colorful plants inside of the home creates a cozy and comfortable feeling to new buyers. We want the buyer to always feel welcome and happy to be in and around the property.

PHOTOGRAPHS

Photographs will be taken of the interior and exterior of your property to be used for marketing purposes in newspapers, web sites, advertisements, and brochures. Photos look best when you can visibly tell what the items are in the room or area. If there is too much clutter going on in the picture it is too hard for the potential buyer to tell what he or she is looking at.
